There’s something refreshing about speaking to the people who actually run a business. At Premier Windows Cheshire, there’s no call centre or layers of management - when customers get in touch, they’re likely to speak to Lisa in the office or one of the directors, Rick or Mick.

The business has been serving homeowners for more than 40 years, having originally been founded by Rick’s father after many years working in the industry. While the company has evolved over the decades, it has remained a family-run operation, with Rick and Mick continuing to build on the reputation established all those years ago.

Now based in Brereton, having moved there around five years ago, Premier Windows Cheshire works across the CW and ST postcode areas. Although small in size, the team carries out a wide range of home improvement projects, from replacement windows and doors to conservatories, replacement roofs, garden rooms, sash windows and repairs.

Lisa recently celebrated ten years with the company and says one of the things customers value most is the personal service that comes with dealing with a local business.

“When people ring us, they’ll usually speak to me or Rick. You’re talking directly to the people who know the business and the job, which makes a real difference.”

Rather than operating a traditional showroom, the team prefers to visit customers in their own homes. They bring samples of window frames, colours and finishes, along with brochures, allowing homeowners to see the options in the setting where they’ll be installed.

Like many businesses in the industry, Premier Windows Cheshire has seen trends change over the years. Anthracite grey frames continue to be one of the most requested colours, while French doors have become increasingly popular. Conservatories also remain in demand, although many customers are now opting for insulated solid roofs instead of traditional glass, making the space more comfortable throughout the year.

The company is FENSA registered and installations are covered by an insurance-backed 10-year guarantee, giving customers reassurance that work is completed to recognised industry standards.

Much of Premier Windows Cheshire’s work comes through recommendations, something Lisa believes reflects the team’s approach.

“Our fitters always clean up after themselves and treat customers’ homes with respect. It’s something people often comment on.”

As well as working with trusted local contractors for groundwork and specialist building work where needed, the company manages projects from start to finish, making the process straightforward for customers.

More than four decades after it first opened its doors, Premier Windows Cheshire remains what it has always been: a local, family-run business where experience, familiarity and good customer relationships continue to be at the heart of what they do.
